Artist's Comments
This is the painting that I've been working on for the past month. I did it because I thought it would be easier to paint on a large canvas. Boy was I wrong. XD; I actually also did it because I wanted to do it as an omage to Georgia O'Keeffe, who has been a very big influence on my painting. It started out as something that looked like this:
[link] For awhile it started to look like it was going to become a disaster. The petals were looking good, but the center of it was looking like nothing. So this past tuesday I spent a majority of the three hours working really hard on getting the center to look somewhat ok. Looking at it now, I really like it. And I'm very happy with how it came out. ^-^ Sadly I wish there was a way to show everyone the actual paintings. Photographs just dont do justice for it. *sighs* |
